We are still reeling from the overwhelming response from our first ever Trainer's Challenge event. From the outpouring of support, to the response given to the trainers, we're not sure we could be happier with the way things turned out. Sure, there were a few bumps in the road, and we greatly appreciated everyone's support and flexibility.
Of course, we would be remiss in our gratitude if we did not offer a heartfelt "THANK YOU!" to all the trainers who participated in the Challenge. Without their skill and knowledge, there would have been no challenge to speak of. They took a lot of time out of their busy schedules to work with these horses, and for that we are truly thankful.
And since there have been inquires regarding the fellow - Steve is his name - who had a rather hard fall while setting up Gypsy's freestyle course; we're happy to report that Steve is recovering after having learned he broke his collarbone as a result of the accident! Ouch! So while Steve takes the required rest to recuperate from this serious injury, everyone at MHARF would like to wish him the very best and hope for a speedy recovery!
Further, we'd like to thank the University of Minnesota staff and students for their assistance and the use of their facility for the event. We'd like to thank our judges, farrier, auctioneer, stewards, runners, and other volunteers for helping tie everything together.
And before this turns in to a way-too-long-thank-you-speech, we'd like to thank to everyone behind the scenes who helped put this together. There was a lot of planning, organizing, re-planning, and re-organizing that took place, and the results speak for themselves.
