Weebay is doing outstanding with his training. Continuing to learn each time as we play with him on the playground. This week Weebay got his hooves trimmed and filed by Zeke Zacharias as he has been Weebay's Farrier while I have had him in my care here at the Rockin Z Ranch. Also he got his goodie worming paste that was donated by the Rockin Z Ranch that has helped sponsor Sid with his Great Buddy Weebay. Hopefully the pictures will tell a thousand words about our sweet partner WEEBAY!!!
We are looking forward next Saturday to do our best as Weebay has a heart of gold and wants to please. We will miss him greatly ! I have trained a lot of horses and they never have got in my pocket like Weebay. This is a sweet horse that always every one looks for - one in a thousand!!!
Sunday, August 1
Weebay has been doing great for me. He has put on a 100 pounds of weight since I got him, and he's looking great! He is doing very good and has shed out completely and has a very nice coat. We have been sponserd by FastTrak (a Conklin product) and also a soy oil product that is a Soy-Natural-E by Tim Myer as a dealer. We are using Strategy and Amplify which are a Purina Feeds Product that has volunteer to sponser Wee Bay and I for the Trainers Challenge.
Weebay has been learning how to become my partner in training. He has a great personality as well as a good mind. He really tries to please you when working with you. Currently in his training we are working on some side-passing, stops, circles, transitions, backing, diagonals, trail riding, and a little spinning.
I have taken Weebay to an EXCA event for his first time ever just a couple weeks ago - in Hillsdale, WI - and he did awesome. Being that it was his first time there was a little hesitation on some of the obstacles, but by the time we were done we were running through them all smoothly. Weebay is going to make someone a really nice horse, I know I know I have certainly been enjoying working with him. One of the things I enjoy best about him is his lovable personality. Weebay is developing into a wonderful horse and has become a excellent partner - he has a great mind with a heart of love to be your best Buddy!

About Sid Zacharias: Sid is a 20 year old young man that has loved horses all his life. Him and his older brother, Zeke in their childhood days would play cowboy and indians as their favorite past time. Zeke as the cowboy with his horse Pistol Pete and Sid as the indian with his loud colored mare, LaComuis.
When Sid was nine years old he took an interest in the Natural Horse Training program. Zeke and Sid had an opportunity to see Pat Parelli at a fund raiser for the handicapped children down in Green Bay WI. Before they both went they were saying "there has to be a better way to communicate with horses than just learning the tricks of the trade and biting the dust" as at that time they were their parents little buckaroos, riding a lot of ponies that was purchased to train and re-sell. So with their past experience with horses they were very impressed with the Parelli Program so they convinced their mom that they needed the Level 1 and the Level 2 Study Series, which worked great for them as they were both being home schooled at the time. From that point on they lost complete interest in their books and thought all they needed was a horse! But that experience is what has made Sid the horseman he is today.
At the age of 12 Sid passed his Level 1 with Don Knapp as the Parelli Instructor in North Brance MN. The following year, he passed his Level 2 at the Flying-S Ranch in Rice Lake, WI. Sid is a current Level 3 student of the Natural Horsemanship Program with Pat Parelli. Sid is currently training in Spooner WI at the Rockin Z Ranch. He works with young horses, colts, problem horses, and gives lessons to a lot of the 4-H students. With his training program he gives several lessons with the owner so they can have a better understanding of their horse in which makes their relationship much more enjoyable.
Some things that Sid has done in his career: He helped raise funds for the St. Jude Children's hospital with his horse. Sid and his horse, T.J. is currently involved in the EXCA (Extreme Cowboy Association) with Craig Cameron; riding last year he took first in the Regionals. This spring he got to prepare and ride in the Shara Arabian Horse Show that was held in St. Paul, MN at the Warner Coliseum; he took 3rd in his reining class. His latest accomplishment was making a DVD for Clint Anderson, as they were impressed with Sid and his horse, T.J. they invited him down for a week interview in TX with his apprenticeship program. He has had the opportunity to have some private lessons with Werner Thideman and be also in a couple different clinics with him. Just learning some cool stuff like how to roll and spin with your horse.
Sid has a lot going for him and wants to use his gift and talent to make it a better place for horse and their owners. He enjoys working with horses with a passion and loves teaching people. His dream is to continue to learn more and further his education with horse and be a clinician.
